STEP 6: Import and Validate Data
In this step your data will be imported from the
source file or database into the tools own database, and validated to ensure
the data can be examined correctly according to the rules you have specified in
the previous steps. This should only
take a few minutes – depending on how large your source data set is.
The wizard will automatically proceed to the next step
once the import and validation process is completed.

NOTE: The Duplicate Record Remover will always work with its own copy of your data. It will never overwrite or delete your source data. A database connection will be made to the source data for the purpose of bulk-copying the data into its own database – after which your live data isn’t touched until you are ready to export the cleaned data at the end of the process. |
