The Auto-copy over feature When a text field is blank (or null) in the master
record, the slave record value will automatically be copied over when that
record is merged. In this example, the First Name field is blank in the
master record, so the value in the slave record “Jack” would automatically be
copied over when you click the merge link.
This is why it’s highlighted green – because that value would not be
lost during a merge operation.
If you didn’t want this to happen, you would have to
